So now you know what we all look like, find out who we really are below.
What do we offer?
Simon is our team boss, so he’s the man that runs the show. He’s been involved in Motorsport all his life, and after leaving Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in Motorsport Engineering, has gone on to be #1 mechanic at a number of teams before starting SWB.
Nick is also a director of the company and takes great pleasure in assisting the team at the circuits and also driving the team’s transporter to and from all races and tests. Originally from an agricultural background, he helped with the startup of the team and also assists with catering ‘on event’.
Working alongside Nick, Sue is our on-event hospitality and catering manager. She looks after drivers, guests, sponsors and the team over race weekends and is pivotal to the success of our hospitality effort with potential drivers and sponsors for the next season.
Jack looks after our Kart drivers. With over 10 years of experience in Karting with much success winning British Championships rounds and Podiums abroad, it’s fair to say he knows he stuff when it comes to Karting. He also races one of our Formula Fords!
James comes direct from the National College for Motorsport at Silverstone and is a fully skilled mechanic. He joined the team at the end of 2012 and has learned the trade very quickly. James will be involved with the Ford, Renault, Clio and Kart Team in 2013.
Topy also comes direct from the National College for Motorsport at Silverstone and like James is an apprentice. Toby will be involed with Ford, Clio, Renault and Karts and although only joining SWB recently he has already helped the Kart Team to much success at the end of 2012.
Matt helps out at the weekends!. He ran one of our Formula Renault Cars in 2012!
Martin’s experience comes from 3 of the 4 top ToCA teams, starting out at CRS, moving to Fortec and onto Atech GP, Martin has run a number of drivers to race wins and podiums including current RSF driver, James Calado.
Richard comes from Porsche Carrera Cup. Winning his class in 2010, he continues to work on the Porsche championship and also works with SWB ‘on event’.
Paul has been with the team for over a year and continues to enjoy working with us. He helped Andrew Jarman to runner up spot in the 2009 BARC Formula Renault Privateer Cup and has worked for several successful karting teams over his many years in the sport.
